O’Fallon Towing Unregistered Vehicles from Private Property

02/22/2011

From RedLaws (Click for KMOV video):

O’Fallon (KMOV) — If you live in O’Fallon, Mo., you may want to make sure your vehicle’s registration is up-to-date. According to a city code, officials are allowed to tow unregistered vehicles from private property. Police can also tow away cars with expired license plates. Two O’Fallon residents recently had their vehicles taken from their driveway as a result. Other cities have a similar code, but they have not towed unregistered cars from personal property. O’Fallon police say they are only concerned about unregistered vehicles on the road, but cars on private property will not be except from the law.
